List of Most Useful Google Chrome Commands

We all used Google Chrome address bar just to enter website address or to search in Google. However, this address bar can be also used to run chrome command to access certain features.

There are several features that are not available from the Menu, which you can access only using the chrome commands. Some of the features are available under both Menu and chrome commands. Here is the list of some useful Google Chrome commands.

1. Chrome://extensions
This will open Google Chrome add-on extension page. This can also be accessed through: Menu -> Tools -> Extensions or through the shortcut key Ctrl + J.








2. Chrome://history

This will open History page in Google Chrome. This can also be accessed through: Menu -> History or through the shortcut key Ctrl + H.


3. Chrome://bookmarks

This will open Google Chrome Bookmarks. This can also be accessed through: Menu -> Bookmarks -> Bookmark Manager or through the shortcut key Ctrl + Shift + O.








4. Chrome://downloads

This will open download page of Google Chrome browser. This can also be accessed through: Menu –> Download or through the shortcut key Ctrl + J.








5. Chrome://settings

This is an alternative method to access setting page in chrome. This can also be accessed through: Menu -> Options (on Windows), and Menu -> Preferences (on Linux). From here you can control various browser related settings.








6. Chrome://flags

From here you can enable some of the experimental features that are hidden in the google Chrome browser. Since, it’s an experimental feature, be caution while using it.








7. Chrome://cache

This command will list all cache pages, and file accessed on the web.


8. Chrome://dns

This displays the list of hostnames for which the browser will prefetch the DNS records.









9. Chrome://memory

This will display the memory used by Google chrome browser, and all other browsers running on the system including Firefox. This also display all the process related to browser with their PID, process name, and the memory it takes.









10. chrome://net-internals

This displays all networking related information. Use this to capture network events generated by the browser. You can also export this data. You can view DNS host resolver cache.









11. Chrome://sync-internals

This gives information about the chrome sync feature, including the Sync URL used by google, and sync statistics.









12. Chrome://about

This gives a list of all the Google Chrome commands in one page.
