How To Capture Image From your favorite Video Using VLC Media Player?

If you want to take a snapshot, when you are watching a movie in VLC, you can do this by using VLC Media player. To capture image from video, open the video you want to capture image and then follow these steps.

Use hotkeys to take the screenshot-

Windows and Linux -> Shift + S.

MAC OS X -> Command+Alt+S.

Or, Use Video menu to take the screenshot-

Click Video at the top of the screen, and select Take Snapshot.

Change where your screenshots are saved

If you don't know where your screenshots are going, or you want to change where they're saved, click Tools, then Preferences and then Click Video on the left. At the Video Snapshots section at the bottom of the screen, you can set the destination for your screenshots.

Change the hot-keys

Go to: Tools -> Preferences -> Hotkeys and double click on Take video snapshot and press the new key or combination to take video snapshot.
