Windows has some short command inbuilt to open some applications or system folders. This feature of Windows is very helpful to open a system file or application by entering a short command rather than navigating to the particular apps path in the local drive.

But these shortcuts are limited and available only for some apps or folders. This trick help you to create the run command for all the applications and folders. Just follow these below instructions.

1. Right-click on an open area of the Windows Desktop, click New, and then click Shortcut.

2. The Create Shortcut wizard appears, here you have to paste full path of your application file. You can also browse that file by clicking browse button. Once you are done, click “Next”.

3. Now, type a name for the shortcut and click Finish. Remember this name will be your Run command. For Example “sk”.

4. You will see a shortcut at your desktops. Cut the shortcut, you have created and paste it at the following path.

C:\Windows

5. That’s it. Whenever you want to open the folder just press Win + R key to open Run and type your shortcut into the Run dialog box and then hit enter.
