How to Copy Text from an Images?

Is it possible to copy the text from an image? The simple answer is Yes. If you have Microsoft office in your computer then you can copy text from an image without any other software.

Microsoft Office OneNote supports Optical Character Recognition (OCR), a tool that lets you copy text from a picture or file printout and paste it in your notes so you can make changes to the words. Follow these steps to copy text from an image.

1.  If you don't have MS-Office then,  Download and Install MS-Office on your system.

2. Now go to:

Start->All Programs->Microsoft Office->Microsoft Office OneNote.

3. Copy and paste the image into MS-OneNote window which you want copy the text.

4. Right-click the picture, and click Copy Text from Picture.















5. Now open MS-Office word or Notepad and paste using Ctrl+V.

6. It’s Done! Now you have the whole text in editable format.

How to Copy Text from multiple-page file printout?

7. To extract text from the images of a multiple-page file printout: Right-click any of the images, and then do one of the following:

->Click Copy Text from this Page of the Printout to copy text from only the currently selected image (page).

->Click Copy Text from All the Pages of the Printout to copy text from all the images (pages).

8. Now open MS-Office word or Notepad and paste using Ctrl+V.
