How To Delete Temporary Internet Files by Using Microsoft Internet Explorer?

The temporary Internet files, sometimes called the cache, are the copies of text, images, and other data from recently viewed websites that are stored on your hard drive. Deleting everything can free hard disk space, solve problems with your browser, and provide some additional privacy.

To delete temporary internet files by using internet explorer, follow these steps.

1. Open Internet Explorer, Choose Tools and then click Internet Options.

2. On the General tab of the Internet Options dialog box, click the Delete button in the Browsing History section.

3. In the resulting Delete Browsing History dialog box, select the Temporary Internet Files check box to select it if it’s not already selected and then click Delete.

4. A confirmation message asks whether you want to delete the files. Click Yes. Click Close and then click OK to close the open dialog boxes.

Temporary Internet files can be deleted when you run Disk Cleanup, but this process allows you to delete them without having to make choices about deleting other files on your system.
