How To Take a Screen Shot In Microsoft Windows?


Ever see something on your screen that you’d like to email or save for later? With Microsoft Windows, you can take a screen shot and capture an exact image of what’s on the screen. Here is the trick how to take screen shot of your desktop in windows.

1. To take the screen shot of entire screen, Press Prt Scr key from the keyboard. Now windows capture entire screen and copy it to the clipboard.

2. To take screen shot of single window, Press ALT+ Prt Scrkey from the keyboard. Now windows capture the active window screen and copy it to the clipboard.

3. Once you have made the screen shot, you will need to paste it to a program in order to see it.

4. Go to -> Start -> All Program -> Accessories -> Open paint.

5. Press CTRL + V to paste into paint and then save it.

6. In windows 8 press Win +PrtScr, you can save the full-screen screenshot directly without having to paste into another program. This file saved into screenshot folder in your pictures folder. If folder does not exist windows will create automatically.
