How To Remove Shortcut Virus From Pen Drive

Now a days the most common question people asking is how to remove shortcut virus from pen drive?, how to fix shortcut virus?, how to clean shortcut virus?, how to delete shortcut virus? and so on for that greedy shortcut virus. 

This problem also comes in PC with antivirus installed. This virus create shortcut folder inside your USB Pen drive, Hard disk, PC, Memory Cards. I this post I will show you how to remove shortcut virus from Pen drive using command prompt.

1. Insert your affected Pen-Drive into computer. When you will insert your pen-drive into computer, you can see the drive letter in "Removable Disks" area as like the picture below. You should have to remember it till last.

Here "E" is my removable drive letter. Yours may another, whatever remember it.

2. Now type cmd in RUN dialog box (Press Win+R to open RUN) to open Command Prompt.

3. After opening command prompt you have to write the below code carefully in it.

attrib –r –a –s –h /s /d (Drive Name):\*.*

Replace the Drive Name with your drive name. For example - Here my drive letter E.

attrib –r –a –s –h /s /d  E:\*.*

After typing the above code press enter.

4. After pressing enter button "Open Your Pen Drive" and you can see your lost files and folders along with the shortcut files and folders.

5. Now copy your real files and folders from pen drive into your computer. After copying files and folders "Format" your pen drive.
