Get Windows 8 Style Tab Page for Google Chrome with iStart

One thing people really like about Windows 8 is the metro style dashboard. If you want your Google Chrome tab a metro style look, then try iStart extension for Google Chrome. The iStart is an google chrome extension that allows users to transform the new tab page into metro style tiles. You can add, sort or organize the tiles however you like.

1. Go to Chrome Web Store and install iStartextension for Google Chrome.

2. Once installed, just open a new tab and you will be shown a metro style page with tiles that contain links to your favorite websites, social sites like Facebook, twitter etc. and installed apps.

3. You can remove any tile and uninstall Chrome apps. You can also customize the label of each tile, edit it or delete it from the new tab page. To delete or edit a tile right click on it and scroll your mouse pointer at bottom. Now you can see the delete and edit option. If you want, you can even add new bookmarks, links and widgets to the new tab page as well.

4. Click on the drop down menu on the top right corner and select Add New tile. It will ask you to name the label. You can even select the tile color or upload any icon you want. 

Click on save when you are done with the editing.
