Auto-delete History For Some Websites in Chrome

To disable history tracking of specific websites on Chrome, we have to use History Site Blocker extension. History SiteBlocker is a Google Chrome extension that disables saving history for a certain websites. This can be particularly useful if you do not want users to see which website you have visited recently. The extension can be downloaded from Chrome Web Store but after you install the extension, you will not see any new button in the extension area.

To disable saving history of a website, simply go to Chrome Menu button and select Extensions from Tools and click Options next to the History Site Blocker icon.



After that, a text box will open up which you can use to add website URLs separated by commas, that you want to exempt from appearing in the history section.


This will disabled history from the selected websites. Hence, showing history only from other websites.

Auto-delete History For Some Websites in Firefox

To disable history tracking of specific websites on Firefox, we have to use History Block extension. HistoryBlock is a Firefox extension that disables saving history for a certain websites. After downloading the add-on from Firefox add-on center, restart your browser.
Click on Firefox Menu button and click on Add-ons. Under the Extension settings, look for the extension HistoryBlock and click on the options button next to it.


You will have to add the URLs you want to blacklist one after another and you can add only one URL at a given time. If any day you want to remove the URL to start tracking the history, you will have to manually enter the URL again and check the button Unblacklist.















Therefore, while configuring the add-on on Firefox, it’s very important that you remember all the URLs that you have blacklisted. Make a list and save it somewhere.
